visiting us...We
want to be a welcoming community, and we hope that you will find a
relaxed atmosphere during your visit. Below are some frequently
asked questions about our worship and community life. Please feel free
to call us at 770-591-0040 or email with any questions at info@resurrectionwoodstock.org
Is there a dress code? Styles range from golf shirts
to suits, and from Sunday best to jeans. Just come as
you are.
Will I have to do anything? While
our worship is participatory, with responsive readings and music, we
follow the dictum, "None must, all may, and some should."
How will I know how to participate if I choose to do so? We provide a service bulletin in your seat as well as projected lyrics for songs.
Do I have to be an Anglican to receive Communion? The table is open to all baptized believers in Jesus Christ.
What about bringing children? We love
to see and hear children in our services. Children ages 3-6 are dismissed for Children's
church during the sermon and older kids are provided an activity sheet
that corresponds with the sermon. Nursery for infants is
available upon request.
What is your music like? Our music blends the ancient hymns and contemporary praise songs of the church.
How long does the service last? Our service lasts a little under an hour and a half, with a twenty minute (or so) sermon and communion.
What if I have other questions? We
have a coffee hour after church, a great time to ask questions about
our faith, worship, and community. We welcome any and all
questions and especially enjoy ones that start with "maybe I shouldn't
ask this, but..." We also offer Resurrection Basics, a four week
look at our faith and mission. Please see our online calendar for future class offerings. Again, please feel free to call us at 770-591-0040 or email with any questions at info@resurrectionwoodstock.org
