Anglican Mission in America
Resurrection is a part of the AMiA. The Anglican Mission is charged with building an
alliance of congregations committed to gathering, planting and serving
dynamic congregations in the Anglican tradition. Includes the Solemn Declaration of Principles.
An
unprecedented alliance of six groups in the Anglican tradition. The
groups, all based in the U.S. have committed to a "common cause" under
the chairmanship of the Rt. Rev. Robert Duncan, ACN Moderator
Rwanda We
are a missionary outreach to the United States sanctioned jointly by
the Anglican Archbishops of South East Asia and Rwanda. The Anglican
Mission in America is directly connected to its Archbishops, under
their authority.
Two
missionary doctors of Church Missionary Society (CMS), Arthur Stanley
Smith and Leonard Sharp, started their mission trips to the eastern
area of Gisaka in Rwanda in 1914-1916 from Kabale, Uganda. In 1922 they
reached Rukira via Kigali and Geoffrey Holmes, a British captain,
started the mission at Gahini in 1925... Anglican Communion The
Anglican Communion is a world-wide organization of Anglican Churches.
There is no single "Anglican Church"; it is better to speak of the
Anglican Communion, which consists of national churches in communion
with the Church of England. We
are a missionary outreach to the United States sanctioned jointly by
the Anglican Archbishops of South East Asia and Rwanda. The Anglican
Mission in America is directly connected to its Archbishops, under

Anglican Blogs and News This
website was after the 3rd South South Encounter in Oct ‘05 to carry the
materials from the event and to follow-up work as laid out in the
communiqués, especially the Third Trumpet. A
free floating commentary on culture, politics, economics, and religion
based on a passionate commitment to the truth and a desire graciously
to refute that which is contrary to it…. Anglican
Mainstream is a community within the Anglican Communion committed to
promote, teach and maintain the Scriptural truths on which the Anglican
Church was founded and which guarantee its catholicity. The
American Anglican Council is a network of individuals (laity, deacons,
priests and bishops), parishes and specialized ministries who affirm
Biblical authority and Christian orthodoxy within the Anglican
Communion.
Be on your guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be brave. Be strong. Be loving in everything you do.
Anglicanism Resources The
Anglican service book used primarily at Resurrection. It has had several
revisions since the Reformation and is widely admired for the dignity
and beauty of its language The
Book of Common Prayer of 1662 is the standard for the Anglican Mission
in America and is the old and well-loved prayer book of the Church of
England - and one of the classic English texts; its prayers and
expressions have helped to mold the English language into what it is
today. The
aim of the Anglican Library is to publish new HTML editions of
Christian literature from the Anglican tradition and other works that
have traditionally been of interest to Anglicans. In addition, we hope
to serve as a guide to Anglican literature located elsewhere on the
internet. The
calendar represents the life of the church and moves in the rhythm of
seven seasons, rather than twelve months. Each of the pages marks one
of the seven Christian seasons: Advent , Christmas, The Season After
Epiphany, Lent, Holy Week, Easter and The Season After Pentecost.
